Lilo & Stitch (2025) is a heartfelt live-action reimagining of Disney’s beloved 2002 animated classic, blending adventure, humor, and emotion into a powerful story about the meaning of family. Set in the breathtaking landscapes of Hawaii, the film follows the journey of a young, quirky girl named Lilo Pelekai, who is struggling to find her place in the world after the tragic loss of her parents. Living with her older sister Nani, Lilo feels lonely, misunderstood, and different from the other kids.

Everything changes when she adopts a strange, blue creature she believes is a dog. In reality, this creature is Experiment 626, a genetically engineered alien built for destruction, who escaped to Earth while fleeing from alien authorities. Lilo names him Stitch, and although he’s chaotic and uncontrollable at first, the two slowly develop a unique bond.

As Stitch learns about love, belonging, and the Hawaiian concept of 'ohana' — which means "family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten" — he begins to change. But Stitch’s creators and alien pursuers soon arrive on Earth to capture him, threatening to tear apart the fragile new life Lilo has built. At the same time, a skeptical social worker, Cobra Bubbles, keeps a watchful eye on Nani’s ability to care for Lilo, adding more pressure to their already difficult lives.
